Dust covers for 6.35mm stereo jacks?

My cd player and receiver both have phone jacks that aren't in use atm, and I want to keep any dust from getting in.

Right now I'm covering them with a tiny piece of paper anchored with electrical tape, crude and looks tacky as hell.

Can I buy some kind of dust plugs or do I need to get creative?

Actually, that 6.35mm is normally referred to as 1/4 inch...lol.

I would get some small pieces of 1/4 inch wood dowel, maybe 1 inch long, and just insert them part way in the hole when it is not in use. plastic would also work fine if you can find the right size rod and cut it to length.

You could even take an unused phone plug and cut it off very short and put it in the hole.

Moddiy.com has nice plastic plugs for just that purpose for a buck each (not sure about shipping, comes from Hong Kong, some stuff free shipping some not). That's one place i frequently check for the odd bits for PC and audio stuff...

Probably plenty of local places carry them too, just never looked.
