7.1 Speaker Question

Thread Starter
Hello all,
I'm planning to move back to the States soon and have been researching a new set of 7.1 speakers.
I've been looking at several brands, reading reviews and scouring the forums.

I really have one burning question though...

Can you use floor standing loudspeakers for the fronts, rears and surrounds?
For example, 6 Pioneer FS52s plus a center channel and sub?
Would bookshelf speakers on stands be better?

I'm sorry if this is a totally silly question.
Thanks in advance!

Sure, why not?

Seems OK subject to AFAIK not much being known about the speaker's performance other than anecdotes. Surely cheap enough.

Only if they fit into the room more conveniently or aesthetically.

Worst objective thing I can say is that they have slightly lower efficiency than average.

At the price, I'm not hoping to see any of the usual sites that actually measure speakers review them.
