I have a TC-P60ST60 which is showing Horrible Image Retention (for the last 3 months)..
(picture I posted else where on the forum)
I have run over 30 hours of both Pixel Joggler and White Screen IR -- without any noticeable difference. I chatted with the guys from Panasonic which referred me to their service number, who promptly told me it isn't covered by warranty. So Am I totally SOL? Have I not run enough hours to clear this up? I've had the set since mid-May, and failed to do a "burn-in" (wasn't aware I needed to - being my 1st Plasma, and it's not mentioned in the instructions).
BTW: is there a way to tell the total number of hours on the set?
Keep your contrast around 70 in first 500 hours (to be on safe side, if you are watching channels with dark logos and with black bars) IR will not be problem with mixed contents on TV, i have around 375 hours on my set, i am careful about channels with logos, , if you keep looking for IR you will find it but it will goe away. Just enjoy your TV, my 08 plasma never had any issues with Burn in, after break in TV was used for extended period of time watching movies with black bars and all other channels with no issues, if you are watching one channel only for weeks and weeks then you could have a burn in problem, in that case you will need to get LCD.
