Wife in a buying mood today, so after buying her things, suggested looking at the TCP65ST60 - none available anywhere! 60" was available, but if you're going to upgrade from a 55", then 65" would definitely be better. But, during the run around town, got to see the Samsung 65" 4K and the Panasonic 4K 65" - these sets appear to have a more `Solid PQ' ! Wife was impressed and found the 65" 1080P sets too pixelized - so I guess we'll wait out for a 4K set.
lol. So what were these 1080p sets you speak of? Just because a tv says 1080p doesn't mean it's playing in 1080p. More than likely you were watching 1080i in torch mode. You do realize that this tv is amazing right? There is a reason they are all sold out. But yeah, get yourself a shiny 4k television and watch yourself some 1080i and 720p television on it. It will be light years before tv stations go that route. There's like 4 or 5 movies out in 4k that you can watch though. Depending if you have a player that can play them.
Note to self: Don't let wife do my electronics shopping for me.
