Thanks guys. I'll be picking up a wii u regardless, but was hoping to not have to buy another streaming device, like the roku, as well to get the 5.1 audio from Amazon.

I just read the reviews of that one on Amazon... not good... too many 1 star reviews IMO. PPL claim it can not be used as a Wii U Pro controller despite the apparently false advertising.

Which is why I said it is a good controller so long as you know what you are getting. Those false advertising complaints are somewhat valid, but it has forced prices down even though it is a solid controller.

Could be for the sequel

I would love to see a Xenoblade HD re-release before the next Xeno game hit. Xenoblade was super-pretty, but it was held back a lot by 480p.

I love this game. I hope they or Nintendo can figure out what it is causing it to freeze the system when trying to quit or power down. It's really frustrating.

Same. Even though I only finished it recently I'd unabashedly buy it again in HD and happily play through it again (starting from scratch, even). Off-TV mode would be crucial for me though, since this isn't really a game made for short play sessions and I hated having to hog the TV so much for it.

...and, fine, I wouldn't mind NOT having my girlfriend walk into the room and see a 50" plasma image of three girls in space-bikini armor again if I can help it. "But honey, those space-bikinis offer the best physical protection and stat boosts!" isn't a sentence that passes muster to a non-gamer.

the Runner 2 crashes appear to be fixed by the firmware update

The first time I quit after the update it was fine, but it's froze up every time since.

I've had another weird issue with Runner 2. It's happened a few times and only in World 3 where my gamepad has a horrible connection and I'll start losing frames and the screen will break up. Eventually it will tell me I lost connection to the Wii U. I have to get really close to the Wii U and then it'll straighten out after a minute or two.

Weird.

Does it make me a cynic or a realist that I expect Need for Speed, which from all appearances is a loving, well-made, well-intentioned port, to tank especially badly?

It's not getting a whole lot of coverage compared to Lego and MH, which aren't exactly system sellers either

I'm getting it along with Lego City and Monster Hunter Wednesday at Target. (assuming that I can find copies with Nintendo not releasing enough copies to meet demand)
