My dirty little secret is I've never finished a Zelda title.
As for the 2d/3d thing, some of those early 3d platformers are brutal both visually and in terms of gameplay mechanics, camera, etc. It's probably why most games in the past decade are one and done for me, while I can return to something like Super Mario Bros 3/world, Earthworm Jim, Sonic 2/3, Super Metroid, Donkey Kong Country etc etc countless times, even if it's just to play a level or two. 2d sprites have never lost their appeal to me, while some early 3d platformers are so ugly now it just takes me out of the experience.. Yoshi's Island is as beautiful today as it ever was....Edited by dragonyeuw - 9/9/13 at 5:25am
