im attempting to fix my hd tv lcd and im having trouble the screen looks like it spilling rainbows on the screen if any one could help me with some advice id appreciate it. this is my last resort.

It's obviously suffered from some physical damage. You should call the manufacturer and see if there is a part for the panel you can order.

If the cost isn't too expensive, you could try to replace the panel yourself, but you might have difficulty and have to hire a technician.

Factoring in the cost of the new panel and technician work, it may just be smarter to buy a new TV.

okay, but how would i know which part to switch out because I've called the manufacturer ,and they gave numbers of various repair shops.

they didn't help much because i'm trying to fix it on my own and I've done it before, but like you said nothing that has had physical damage to it.

so what i'm saying is do you know where i should look for the board or panel to look up the serial number to find how much they might be.

You'd have to acquire a service manual somehow... Repair shops would have these, but if you're trying to find a manual online... good luck?

Oh! You could always request a service manual from the manufacturer. Sometimes they'll ship one to you if you pay for it.

If they refuse to ship you a manual and you can't find one online, then you're probably SOL unless you call a repair shop.
