I'm looking for a new 5 channel amp as my Arcam FMJ-P25 and Alpha 10 are on their way out. Ideally I am looking at something new or 1-2 years old as I have been burnt before by second hand goods not lasting although I'll buy old if I have to. I'll be pairing it with a Audiolabs 8000AP, BKElec XLS200, Mordaunt Short Mezzo 6 Fronts, Mezzo 5 Centre and some old MS10i's as rears (left over from my old stereo system).
I've found the Arcam / Audiolabs combination very warm, too warm in fact with a lack of HF sparkle so I would like something to fix that as I do use my system to listen to a lot of music as well as movies I have been looking at the Marantz MM7055 but not convinced of its sonic capabilities and even a old Linn 5125 that I found but struggling for other options and I don't know if they will add that sparkle to my system that I need.
Can anyone suggest other options or an idea on the sound of the Marantz?
