Ceiling Speaker Placement

I have a family room that measures
front / rear wall - 25 ft
sides - 20 ft
height - 10 ft

I want to place 2 each 8 inch speakers behind the sofa and heard I need to NOT install them in the corners.

Hope someone can help or point me to a website.
