LG 42" LM series 3DTV - Playing .mp4 and .mkv files through USB

I just downloaded a movie and it was in .mp4 format "sbs_1080p_8000.mp4" so I'm guessing it's SBS format. I dragged it onto my USB drive and connected to my LG TV, the video doesn't work, no sound or video as it says the video is not supported. I tried converting it to .mkv thinking it doesn't support .mp4, I used mp42mkvac to do it and still same error. It doesn't work at all.

Does anyone know what's wrong with it and what should I do to get this movie playing on my LG 3DTV?

Oh...how can I check what codec it is and what codec should I convert it to?

I just used MediaInfo and this is what came up.



I have a LM5800 LG 3DTV and I'm not sure what codec works with this TV.

The format is AVC, so I'm going to guess the LG TV doesn't support it? What Codec/format should I convert the file to without losing audio and video quality?

Edit: Seems like the LG TV does support AVC(from google?) so what exactly is wrong with this file? I can play it on my computer just fine but when I try plugging the USB thumb drive(1.3GB 3D Video) it doesn't play, no video or audio.

Wow! It works now! So after some googling, instead of High@5.1, I used H264LevelEditor and changed it to High@4.1 and it works...a simple change lol
