Confirmed working and tested by me on a 2012 TC-L47ET5 and a DMP-BDT220 using the onboard Skype app! Works perfectly right out of the box. Just plug it into the USB port on your TV or BD player, run the Skype app, log in, and start making video calls. Current low price as of this post is $39.95 SHIPPED with Prime (Fulfilled By Amazon)! That lowest price is back ordered till 01/16/13, or it is in stock and shipping now with Prime for $49.95.

This is Logitech's $199 720p TV Cam for the Logitech Revue, but it works perfectly with the 2012 Panasonic's. If you have another brand of HDTV that has a USB port and a built in Skype app, you might want to give it a try, but I can't guarantee anything. If you find it works with other brands, please post years and models here.

See clearly with widescreen, HD (720p) video resolution
Know who's calling with on-screen notification and caller ID
Get up close and personal with 5x digital zoom
See it all with wide-angle lens
Enjoy razor-sharp images with Carl Zeiss optics
Hear clearly with two digital directional microphones to reduce noise and echoes

Enjoy and have fun!

PS... Also tested and working out of the box without any drivers or other hacks with both Facetime and Skype on a mid-2012 Mac Mini running Snow Leopard. This is my Plex media server which is connected to my TC-L47ET5 and it's working perfectly as a video conferencing webcam on my Panasonic HDTV.

Of Note: You should restart your Mac after plugging in the Logitech TV Cam to fully enable support for the webcam. Facetime required that I ran the app, quit it, and then restarted the app in order to recognize the webcam. Skype required a full reboot of my Mac Mini in order to recognize the video portion of the webcam, although audio worked perfectly the first time.
