For anyone deciding between lg pa5500 vs p50u50

I have both TVs. I'll be returning the LG this week.

I also already had a P42g25.. But wanted something bigger.

The p50u50 has much better blacks than the LG.

Both screens are VERY reflective. My g25 is much better than these 2.

Input lag... Ugh, the LG has major concerns with input lag. I don't notice any input lag on both of my Panasonic plasmas.

The lg does have more inputs and stuff. The picture settings are more detailed on the LG, but the PQ is better on the Panny.

Much of this stuff most of you already know.. But for those who want to game and play FPS.. Then there is no question you want the Panny.

I wish I had known how bad the input lag was before I bought the LG. Would have saved me the trouble of returning it :/

I just bought the 5500. What exactly is input lag? How long it takes to switch to a different input?

So far I am very happy with my 60PA5500. Of course, I don't have a Panny plasma to compare with but I think I've got all the colors and blacks dialed in pretty well. The picture is amazing.

Don't get me wrong, the picture is very good on the LG as well. And input lag is the lag between when you hit a button on your controller to the time it shows on the screen for example.

If you're just watching movies, it's not an issue really.

The LG is a great tv.. But I felt like it was lacking some in the black levels.

Yes, Panny has better blacks than LG. And if you want a less reflective screen, you need to step up to the ST50.
