I have Serviio setup on my network with a small collection of mkv files. Streaming the mkv's to my blu-ray player works fine. But I'm having trouble getting the files to play on my Droid Razr without and stuttering/freezing. On my Droid I have BubbleUPnP for the DLNA client and MX Player to play the files. When playing the files in MX Player, the player always uses the SW decoder. If I try to change to the HW decoder while the file is playing MX Player hangs. If I try to use the HW+ decoder, I get an unsupported file type message. In the MX Player FAQs it sounds like the HW Decoder is much better than the SW Decoder, but I can't get it to work.... I'm hoping that's the answer to my playback issues.
1) Is there a profile in Serviio that I should be using instead of the Generic DLNA client?
2) Should I have Serviio transcode the mkv?
3) Are there settings that I'm missing in MX Player? I've made sure all of the HW Decoding options are enabled
Thanks.
