Flashman's minor HT

Hi all!

Working on upgrading my setup. I will put pictures up of the before, in progress flexi rack and the after. I just recently purchased a used Integra 80.2 despite the concerns it will eventually have a HDMI failure. I am aware of the issue so I am ok with it. I also purchased an Emotiva XPA-5 and CMX-6 line conditioner. These will be paired with my Mitsubishi Diamond 57", B&W 703 towers, center channel, 685 bookshelf surrounds and ASW8. I also have will have my PS3 and Directv hooked up. The PS3 is now temporary until I can afford an Oppo BDP-95. That is my new configuration in a nutshell. Pictures will be up soon.

Here are pictures of what I currently have. This is the main setup and I forgot to include our Wii U.



Here is the flexi rack in progress. First pick is sanded and unfinished. Second pic is first coat of stain. Third pic is second coat of stain and finished color.







And this picture has the boxes for my XPA-5, CMX-6 and monoprice RCA cables. The Integra will be here next week and my hardware for the flexi rack hopefully will get here this weekend. That way I can get the rack together and be ready for the Integra.

Officially without a receiver now. Sold my Yamaha and have to wait until next week for my DHC 80.2 to get shipped to me. My hardware for the flexi rack will be here tomorrow so it won't be long until I have an entirely new HT setup.

I know I don't have much of worth yet. Still getting everything together. I have my flexi rack started and I enjoy the industrial look to it. Nice contrast with the colors.



Here is my XPA-5 in what will be its location on the flexi rack. The Integra 80.2 will be next to it and the far right will house my PS3 on the bottom and my Directv above it. The next board will be open for whatever on the left, B&W center channel and I will have the Wi U on a split level (possibly keep the Wii U on its own board and not split that side. I will see. The top will be my TV.

Here is the next part of the setup. I have the middle board in with the second divider shelf installed as well. I have my center channel and the Wii U in there final places. It is coming along nicely. I am slightly worried about the top acorn nuts not having enough threads but we will find out tomorrow. The thickness of the nuts and washers took me more by surprise than I expected. My tolerances are as tight as they can be so we will find out tomorrow!!!

Finished my flexi rack. I like how it is and it is so sturdy. This thing will not break. All I am waiting on is my Integra 80.2 and eventually I will purchase an Oppo BDP-95 to go above the Wii U. The area to the left of the center channel will just be for nick knacks or something... haven't figured that out yet. I have my amp pre-wired and I will have the speaker wire ran once I get my order of banana cables in from monoprice. I ordered new 5ft HDMI cables as well which I will use for my components and just put the ones I currently have away. Hope I get another comment on this, the first one I got was appreciative.

I am ready for the Integra to arrive tomorrow. I ha e my cables ran to the amp and all I ha e to do is change my HDMI from the back of the TV to go into the processor. I should ha e time to run audessy if it comes early enough in the afternoon. So excited to have my system almost finished.

Everything is finished. I just have to wait for tomorrow to get my new HDMI cables and banana connectors and I will be GTG. Audyssey was very simple to setup and my system has never sounded better. I am so very happy with the purchase.

I might do that today when my HDMI cables come in. It wasn't hot last night so I felt having it open around the sides like it is wouldnt be harmful.

Advice taken. I moved the Integra up to give more room. I have my poker chips and cd case filling the void until I get some sort of trinket to go in the hole below.

So far it is wonderful. I am enjoying the separates and my speakers have never sounded better with movies.
