Question on setup. Mounting the panny to the ceiling of home theater room in basement running hdmi to a closet about 10 feet away. Do I run all my components through one AV reciever then just send one HDMI to the projector? Is there any reason to run blu ray or anything else directly to the projector?

You are on the right track. If access is a problem then run a few cables all at once for the future but most people run everything just how you explained.

If you want 3D and your receiver doesn't support 3D pass through, you'll need to directly connect the blu-ray. This is why some players have dual HDMI. Also you'll probably want to account for future expansion as best you can. Running a few cat 5e and cat 6 is never a bad idea.
