I bought the Onkyo Ht-RC460 and replaced a 5-year old Ht-SR800 that couldnt do any kind of HDMI processing or upconversion. I used a coax cable for the cable box and an optical cable for my DVD player. With the Rc460, I was wondering which option would sound better: continuing to use the optical/coax cables or running sound and video thru HDMI. I read somewhere that running through HDMI would support Dolby Digital Plus, TrueHD, and DTS HD. I want to make sure I'm getting the best possible sound with my new receiver, so if I need to scrap the optical/coax cables and run everything through HDMI I'm willing to do that. Thanks!
