Dawn has been playing a very sneaky game thus far. Everyone trusts her but telling Dawn about your plan for a big move is your funeral.

Thank you and yes ..

Just because she has been a sneaky player doesn't mean she has a chance of winning. Put her against any others left in the game and she won't get the jury votes.

I don't know if anyone considers Dawn anything but a long shot at the win .. however, if she went up against Erik and Sherri, Dawn would have a good shot at the win ..

Sherri will win since its like she is hardly even on the show. biggrin.gif

I can't believe this is over this Sunday already. frown.gif

I think the mass proliferation of spoilers for this season has given many people a bit of a future view bias on certain players smile.gif.  For the unspoiled, some player's outlooks will shift significantly in the last couple ep.  Despite the tedium of the overdose on crazy during the first half of the season, the post merge has been great with a growing string of high end, engaging episodes that really is backing up Probst's pre season praise.

I had been unspoiled until now, but your post is somewhat of a spoiler itself.

Come on Lex!  You're still unspoiled.  People have posted numerous opinions back and forth and I simply said some people will see their opinions on players position change before it's over.  I didn't say who's opinion or which players or up/down, how/why etc, etc.  That could be anybody and anything, good bad or otherwise.  All I really meant to say was that it's not over till the fat lady sings!

I think the uneven editing in the beginning certainly affected how I viewed Brenda and Eric's chances to win since we have hardly seen any of their game ( and not enough of Brenda's bikini ). Certainly Brenda and Eric could win with the right F3 partners but given their lack of game insight I have to think they don't have much of a chance to pull it off. Dawn/Cochran are a tight pair and that is hard to breakup this late in the game. Sherri has been named a goat and so has Dawn so it isn't spoilers for me. It is the editing and outright pronouncements by the contestants that tell the story. I don't consider exit interviews or secret scenes spoilers just extra information. We could have a season like Samoa with a WTF winner but we have seen enough of Dawn and Cochran to understand how they win if they win. Sherri and Eric and Eddie would be WTF winners given how they have been portrayed. Brenda was identified as a threat so she could pull it off but she has an outside chance.

Personally I wouldn't consider any of the CBS provided stuff to be spoilers either, and it really does provide further insight into what is actually going on for those that want it. Brenda came in with a big target on her back from her first season so laying low and playing under the radar was probably her best strategy.  I would think she has a decent shot at it if she can articulate that to the jury well.  She has also shown challenge prowess and now that they are near the end she has begun her moves to break out.  She's obviously well liked.  Eric on the other hand I just don't see happening.  He may say he has a strategy but nobody seems to be buying it as valid or winner worthy, but you just never know.  Dawn/Cochran do seem to be sitting in a decent spot at the moment, but Dawn has already made some enemies on the jury so it would depend on how bitter they were.  If Cochran can get to the final I suspect he would do well in front of the jury with his increased confidence.  He appears to have made bonds with many of them and not really pissed anybody off too bad so far.  They also seem to view him as one of the strategists this time around too.  Sherri I also don't think has any chance based on all the things other players have said about her throughout the season.  She has seemed a little deluded about her position in the game from the beginning.  For sure Reynold and Eddie wouldn't be voting for her smile.gif.  If Eddie can make it to the end I'd give him an outside chance if there are enough bitter jurors because everybody (even Sherri!) seem to like him even if he's done very little else to deserve the win.  If he managed to win the immunity challenges to get there with the right people he'd look a lot like "Fabio" from Nicaragua.

The problem with the players that are not Dawn/Cochran is that they haven't shown much inclination at plotting a revolt although they should be looking at it pretty darn quick. Dawn seems to have taken people into her confidence not just playing friendly so if she makes F3 we might see some bitter people. Eric and Eddie would be Fabio like winners. Brenda did have a big target on her and it didn't help being on the wrong side of the Francesca boot. The dreaded family visit tonight.

Well, the preview did show Brenda targeting Cochran.  Then again, we all know how misleading they often are.  You don't like the family visits?  Jeff even busts out a tear for this one wink.gif.

I don't mind them myself and they do sometimes stir up some drama.  Here's a great "sprint Evo" photo:

I guess I'm just not sentimental enough to enjoy the sobbing and crying, but they can provide some drama. I guess Fairplay set the standard for that. Pretty funny pic.

Our technician, Cochran, looks pretty fierce in that one ..

It's not been one of the better seasons, nor has it been one of the worst .. with everything piling up on the DVR lately, I'm kinda glad Race ended and Survivor is coming to a close for this season ..

No good deed goes unpunished. Sheesh, that was rough.

It was a solid play regardless.

I was screaming at the TV for Brenda not to give up the reward but since it was on the DVR, she couldn't hear me. mad.gif

Seems like selfless acts like that in the past have never worked out. eek.gif

I thought Dawn would be a real basket case and go over the edge when Brenda gave up the reward but she seemed to pull it together.

Brenda needs to get rid of Cochran NOW.

Dawn needs Cochran and Brenda to fight each other and get out.

Eddie needs Cochran, Brenda, and Dawn to leave on injury.

Sherri needs Eddie out ASAP plus... nah she's not gonna win.

Cochrane has won the game unless he screws up

You and me both....I kept saying "f**k them - go get your bar-b-que"

Sherri is a real good liar.....at TC "oh yeah, Brenda's like a saint now, no one can do anything against her for a while".....boom.....writes down "Brenda"

Gotta admit - it was a classic blindside

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Dang it. Well, at least I get to watch her in the Ponderosa videos now.

That was awesome!!! I really did not care for this season but it has been stellar the last month.

We could have just reposted this quote every week this season...

Brenda retrieving Dawn’s teeth from the water and the ‘bond’ it created between the two was bound to have a limited shelf life, but I figured it might have given Brenda a little more time than this.

That said, I think Brenda was screwed either way. Had she taken the BBQ and Dawn with it, the rest of the tribe would’ve been watching from the beach ruminating on the fact that Brenda is a threat because she can win challenges. They would’ve conspired to vote her out then as well while Brenda and Dawn ate.

It has been good, the blindsides. The downside is that now the more interesting and power players such as Malcolm, Andrea, and Brenda are out of the game and we are left we a rag tag bunch for the finale. The jury speeches will like be lackluster but maybe made up for some good jury questions. Too bad Corrine isn't in it. Would like to see Cochran win it and I think he will by default if he makes it there.

Geesh, Eddie and Sherri are still in it. Just goes to show that fortune/luck plays so much into this game. You could make some kind of argument about their play allowed them to get this far and maybe graciously I'll give 10% stock to that, but 90% of it was they were just lucky that their number wasn't called way back when. There is such a random element. OK, Sherri, I give a little more credit to as she somewhat infiltrated to the major alliance, not easy to do.

Brenda essentially throwing the immunitry was just plain stupid .. I was not shocked when she got voted off .. Cochran's own mother telling him she was going to win firmly placed the target on Brendas back ..

Brenda, Brenda, Brenda .. you were the last hope for a solid, good person to make it to the end .. yet that goodness is essentially what sent you home ..

Those that have said Dawn is not playing a good game .. have you changed your mind yet .. ??

There is a line from a soul song that goes something like ..

"They smile in your face, all the time they wanna take your place, the Backstabbers" ..

Ruthlessness is required at this point .. and we're seeing it in spades ..

I still think Cochrans endgame plan is to be sitting next to Eddy, Erik and/or Sherri ..

There is still a slim chance Cochran's game could get upeneded .. Eddy wins immunity, Erik, Sherri and Dawn decide Cochrans a lock for the win unless they boot him ..

But at this point, it's beginning to look like it's all over ..

It's going to be interesting to hear what Brenda has to say at final Tribal ..

I agree with all you said. If it wasn't apparent before, when Brenda "lost" the challenge, she was screwed (and not in a good way).
