Survivor Season 26 CBS HD February 13th, 2013 - Page 4

Russell may have thought he was "playing to win", but obviously he had a bad strategy.   Its not like everybody who is able to separate reality from the game is like Russell.  There are plenty of great players, like Boston Rob, who clearly had no problem separating the two and played to win.

I'm "out" this season. In fact, I may be finally and permanently "Survivor'd out"... after watching every single one of the first 25 seasons.

Anyway, I just wanted to pass this news along: Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca have broken up after 10 years together.

That's really sad news. They've been through a lot together, and it's been a long time for them as a couple.

You know, I really hate to say this, but as a fan from Day One myself, I'm actually beginning to tire somewhat on the show

I was a fan from day one too and tired out a few seasons ago. The players just seem to get worse. Tired of the "I'll day anything so and so says as long as they don't vote me out" and people unable to think for themselves. Example, final 6, alliance of 4 vs 2, "if you switch your vote and join us you can get to final 3, if you stick with them they'll vote you out at 4. " "I'm happy with 4th, I'll stick with my alliance".

This season I won't even watch an episode. Tired of the past players coming back and the ones this year are not favorites.

Although I still have it set on the DVR .. I'm thinking a lot like you .. you have to care about a show to keep watching and I'm really at the point where I don't care .. I may be just watching it out of habit and loyalty ..

I still watch for the spectacular HD beauty shots, some interesting challenges --- and the babes in bikinis of course.

4-5 smart, athletic, loyal people, can very easily get to final 4 without any backstabbing and lying.

But thats every producer's nightmare!

Besides, backstabbing and lying is a great lesson for kids! eek.gif

I'll be a contrarian here and say that this season could be good despite this particular cast of returning players.
I'll go against the grain too about Francesca, I don't think she was voted out becuase she was too aggressive. She made deals with people right away but Phillip was just as aggressive in making his alliance of four plus two and he antagonized Eric in the process. Francesca lost out because the other five that went with Phillip were licking their chops at the idea of playing with a door knob like Phillip. You can see the smirks on Malcolm and Cochran's faces when he was making the deals with them.
The four cool kids on the fan's side don't seem to realize that 6 is greater than 4 so unless they have some side deals with some of the other players they might be cooked.
As far as the criticism of the 'anyone but me strategy',that has been around since the first season and it is a legit way for some people to play. Sandra won twice like that and a win is a win.
Survivor is getting long in the tooth, after all it has been on a long time and it is pretty hard to surpise poeple after this many seasons ,but it can surprise as it did last season.
Kudos to CBS for continuing with some great nature photography.

Ok, but very predictable for me. 10-5 min in the episode and I know who is going home.
Shamar does nothing, so there is going to be "drama" about him going. So fans will lose the challenge.

Shamar has 4 + 2 votes. The 2 "swingers" have to decide between Shamar and a hot girl.

No brainer. Shamar is a true hero, served and protected his country, democracy, and the whole free world, not once, but twice!
Allie is everything the best consumers (that is middle aged housewives) hate: a hot girl.

Of course Allie is going home!!

And some extra drama with one (not a hot gilr) finding the idol, but not using it, because hot girl has to go home.

If loverboy realized hot girl was going home, he would've given it to her. That's one thing I didn't understand - the 2 couples didn't really bother trying to figure out who the others were voting for. Stupid!

^^
But Rumpelstiltskin (with the beard) told them that he was with them, and that he could get (can't recall name) to vote the same way. The foursome thought they had at least six votes to send Shamar packing . . .

True, but we never really saw them agreeing to anything. It just seemed too cozy with little to no scramblin. Loverboy even played the "DUH! We're fans, this is basic Survivor!" card when super thin girl pointed out his Idol, he announced it, and then got called out for announcing it. It just seems weird that he'd be so spot-on with the idol yet be completely blindsided with the vote. You could see in his face he realized he made a huge mistake.

Survivor 101: Wear loose fitting cargo pants/shorts with large pockets that don't show bulges

Survivor 201: Carry sticks and grass in your pockets all the time so if you find an idol the bulge will not be noticed as out of the ordinary.

three people that will not win this season: phillip, brandon, shamar

Last night during the next week preview, once again Hantz proved how disgusting he can be by mentioning peeing in the rice / beans .. the producers are scrambling to create some drama here .. nothing like body waste to attract ratings ..

I'm rooting for the Fans ..

as well as shamar going ballistic.....again. that's what you get when you cast whacked out personalities. i'm leaning somewhat toward the fans as well. although i wouldn't mind seeing brenda, eric or corinne doing well.

I think there should be some reward for Malcolm.

Probably the 1.000.000, but it could be a nice car, or 100.000 from a sponsor.......

And his biggest mistake was getting into a very clear 4 person alliance in a 10 person tribe.   Another Survivor 101, don't exclude the MAJORITY of your tribe and expect to have much success.  Oh well, at least they look COOL doing it.

Brenda sure is smoking hot and has an amazing body.
i like brenda and she seems to be playing a slightly lower profile game this time. hard to tell though only two episodes in. i'm definitely pulling for her to go far. she's my official favorite of the favorites smile.gif

So the Malcolm jinx was finally broken. But they had to have Phil close the deal since Malcolm was choking on the final throw.
ok, i have to admit, i thoroughly enjoyed the interaction between the special agent and Brandon regarding Phillip being the CEO and Brandon maybe being middle management. CEOs don't really bother to speak to middle managers, which of course is true but a hilarious way to deliver the message and of course it backfired with Brandon going nuts shortly afterwards.

I had to watch that exchange twice, you can't make that stuff up, pure gold. I would LOVE to be on this season, the unintentional comedy factor is rather high, I'd be grinning in so many conversations with these loons.

Not going to be my favorite season but probably could be middle of the pack and better than last season.

this season could be called "the nuts, the nerds and the knockouts"
some might not have seen or known about this, but I think this is where Shamar got noticed or made himself noticeable! wink.gif

Speaking of Nuts.. where is that High-Def blurry spot when you need it? Special Agent Phillip walking around in those pink undies is a bit much . . . eek.gif

I posted that vid as a reference for some who might be curious, but if it gets into a political discussion or tangent about the video it won't be good for the thread. I'm suggesting watching for entertainment and leaving at that. smile.gif
