I shipped my 42 Panasonic plasma from my house to NY via ups. I got the tv and everything looked fine. No damage to the box.
I pulled it out of the box and hooked it up and noticed several cracks on the second screen at the top of the tv. It won't turn on
I called UPS and they will send someone out to pick it up. What can I expect from UPS?

I'm not sure, but I would suspect it fell over or wasn't kept upright.

Please help, I'm doing volunteer work for a year and I don't know if I can afford another tv.

First do not let UPS take you display , demand an inspection on site , UPS will deny your claim for improper packing,it is up to you to prove it was packed proper , if by chance The UPS Store packed the display you may get reimbursed for the insured value.
