Panasonic V700 Sd Card Issue.

Hello Every 1 i am new here and i need some help from who ever got panasonic v700, Problem i am having is my camcoder doesnt recognize sd card Any idea what could be wrong please as i can see sd card on computer 16 gb sdhc but on camcoder it says please check ur sd card.

Do you have a card reader on your computer? If you do, see if the card is recognized by the computer. If the computer doesn't recognize the card, I would say the card is defective. If the computer does recognize the card, download the SD Association formatting utility and format the card in your computer. Select the option for overwriting all files. It takes longer but is more thorough. If the card successfully completes the formatting with this utility, put it back in the camcorder and see if it recognizes the card. If it does, format the card in the camcorder. If the camcorder still doesn't recognize the card, try the card in another camera and see if a different camera will recognize it. Either there is something wrong with the card or the camcorder.

I thought the card was wrong just bought the new card SDHC 16 gb and problem is still the same. it just says Check Card. I did every thing what u said except i dont have any other camcorder.

I hope you bought it from a good source. Best Buy exchanged a Sony camera for me when there was a problem. B&H took one camera back and sold my wife a different one when she "didn't like the feel" of the first one.

It seems that the current retailing business model, with the demise of the local camera shop, includes aggressive and liberal return policies.

Who did you buy it?
