Hello, I am trying to install some outdoor speakers, Polk Atrium 4, and I have a few questions. My house was prewired for audio when it was built. They ran a 4 conductor outdoors to a location for a volume control knob, from there another 4 conductor to the first speaker location and from there a 2 conductor to the other corner.
I havent got a receiver yet, but it will be capable of having a powered second zone. I'm not sure of how it is supposed to be wired and need to know if this is correct:
The 4 conductor from the receiver to the volume knob in, another 4 conductor from the volume knob out to the first speaker. Do I put all four wires 2 in each terminal here on the speaker? Then parallel to the second speaker? The speakers are 8 ohm, do I need to get any sort of special volume knob?
Thanks
