I think that I need a new lamp for my Samsung, not sure, because I lost my owner's manual in Hurricane Sandy. For the past week, my family has told me that the TV will shut-off in the middle of watching. After shutting down, the power button display reads steady in RED: "Timer" and "Lamp". In the past, when the lamp died, it died, and you could no longer power on the unit. Thanks, Frank
