Is there a list of the Hz values of movie scenes?

I've seen the threads that show which movies are the best for testing subs and all, but does anyone know the actual frequency ratings for a given scene? For example, the T-Rex in Jurassic Park or the War of the Worlds scenes.

I was also hoping someone would tell me how I can damage my subwoofer with these movies, since I don't really want to do that? And Can I damage a sub that cannot pick up these frequencies?

I don't have one. I didn't want to blow up one that I might buy. I'm scared to even watch the movie now! I don't care how much the sub costs. Last thing I want to do is blow it up, regardless of price.

Can it blow up my towers and center too?

There was that fun thread where someone watched the Darla Scene at -5 Ref.

What happens is the sub's excursion goes beyond it's physical ability to move. I think. There's the option of a high pass filter to tell the sub "don't play notes below x value" to stop it trying to play too deep. And yeah there's waterfall charts of scenes of interest that show what frequencies are being played.

There is a scene in HTTYD when the big dragon gets taken out and plummets to the ground.....THIS is the one that popped the driver in my PB13 Ultra.

All good now, replacement is in and sub is calibrated properly.wink.gif

But the one that really impresses me each time is Percy Jackson & the Olympians when the five guys change into the 5 headed fire breathing dragon.
The foot coming down when its starting out just pressurizes the room and shakes the couch. Makes me kinda giddy.biggrin.gif

Okay, now it's getting weird. I now know what movies are being referred to, simply by their initial designators.

I was watching a scene in LOTR (the return) and I couldn't tell if it reminded me of WOTW or TDKR but the last time I watched FOTP I realized it was JP I was thinking of. tongue.gif

One that made me giddy is the first explosion in The hurt Locker. It was the first flick I watched when I got my FV15HP and I had an instant ear to ear grin.

Geeze, what volume were you playing it at? On my VTF3 MK4 it just bottomed it out during that scene, but on the XS30 it played it like a champ.

Ithink the sub being turned up to far is the reason for blowing the driver and not the movie. When good subs bottom out, they are not setup correctly in most cases.
