Well, I currently own a 150 watt Sony SA-WM500 - it just isn't cutting anymore. As much as I'd love to purchase an HSU VTF-3 I can't afford it : /

I want to extend my headroom but don't know if I should buy a second Sony or replace it with a Northridge series woofer that would match my E90's and E30's.

According to the owner's manual (PDF), the Sony has a 150W RMS amp and extends to 20Hz @ -?dB.

According to its owner's manual (PDF), the JBL has a 400W RMS amp and extends to 25Hz @ -?dB.

I'd take one JBL over two Sonys.
