Black Flame Screen Needs Good Home

We're redoing the media room changing out the projector for a significantly smaller Plasma TV which means the Black Flame screen needs to go.

If you or someone you know lives in central Ohio (Columbus area) and have a good home for it and can pick it up locally, please let me know.

You can see more info on this screen in this thread here

Thanks

Curious as to why you're going projector to plasma?

The projector I had broke and was also sick of replacing expensive bulbs. The 60" TV holds no candle to the 94" from a size perspective. So I ended up just getting a large TV to replace it.

Awww heck. You din't ask the right folks.

I have a spare 8700 with a Extra bulb....very low hours and not a single issue as far as performance / dust / banding /....not nuthin'.
(...and Epson Replacement Bulbs can be had for under $100.00 these days rolleyes.gif )

Being such a stalwart SF owner, you could'a had it for a strong sneeze. Ccertainly for a lot less than any decent Plasma your considering / have bought. Now all ya got is a small sniffle of a screen.

I'll light a candle for you in memory of what "used to was".

(...might have a lead on that screen too...)

Excellent smile.gif

From a size perspective, it's about the size of a 4x8 sheet of plywood/mdf. When I originally went and got the wood from HD we used my buddys large SUV. Just wanted to make sure everyone understands the size from a transport perspective.

Saddest thing is losing a SF advocate. One less person for a select few to beat up on. biggrin.gif

I tell you what. All of my friends and family who have seen the screen and it's capabilities think I'm nuts going to a tiny little 60" flat panel. It is going to be a major adjustment for me :/

And they are right. Just when prices fall, performance rises, and Lamps go to 5000hrs + and cost at/under $175.00 average you jump ship.

Makes no real sense at all. frown.gif
