Bought A Used Display Case For A Concession Stand

I found this display case on Craigslist for $80 bucks and had to pick it up. Looks like it would make for a very nice little concession stand to display my movie snacks smile.gif

I just have one small problem. I am missing 3 of these...

As you can see in the 2nd picture, these are used to hold up the glass shelves and give them some traction. I went to 2 hardware stores and one glass shop and nobody had these. Does anybody have ANY idea where I can get them or even know what these things are called so I can at least search for them online???

I HATE shipping. I need 3 pieces. At 25 cents each, it comes to .75 cents. Then I go to order, and the CHEAPEST shipping option is $9.38. ARE YOU KIDDING! I'm gonna pay 10 bucks for them to ship .75 cents worth of stuff that can fit in my pocket!?

lol, C'mon Man.. Look at it like you're paying 2 and half bucks per shelf rest... Still not a bad deal to get what your looking for- BTW- it looks like these are ever so slightly different, mainly the corners are more square?,, if that bugs you, you may want to get a full set of these..

What about going to Home Depot to see if you can buy another part that does the same thing? Surely there is something else that can be used from Home Depot. Take pictures of your concession stand and the parts that you need to HD. I'm sure someone can help. I don't blame you on the shipping cost. Oops, I see you already went to two hardware stores. tongue.gif

I know, it's not so much the money, it's the principal that's annoying. I highly doubt it costs nearly 10 bucks to ship those little things. They can EASILY fit in one of those small bubble wrap envelopes. Either way, I might as well stock up on them.

But WAIT, there's MORE!! We'll DOUBLE your order for free! (Just pay separate shipping and handling.)

I've run into that several times. If it's something that I'm likely to need again, I just order more of them to save on the shipping.

Ordering enough to replace them all with the same ones seems like a pretty good idea to me. Then you're sure they all fit the same way and you won't have any issies with shleves being slightly crooked, etc. Then order a couple more for replacements.

Nice find. I have to custom build mine to fit a specific space. I've cut all the pieces, just need to sand, stain and assemble.

I almost bought the concession stand as above from a local seller, but ended up modifying an IKEA cabinet:
