Need suggestions for my Server/HTPC/Gaming hybrid.

I'm building a computer with parts I currently have on hand. I'd like to make a Media server with HTPC features and some gaming.

Currently parts list:

Asus MSN-SLI motherboard
AMD Phenom II X4 2.8ghz (B93)
Gigabyte AMD Radeon 6450 1gb video card
Hitachi Deskstar 500gb 7200 hd
Seagate SV35.3 750gb hd
Hauppauge HVR-1600
Win764
2 OEM PATA DVD-R drives
8gb PC6400 ram (4x2gb)

I've already assembled the unit and installed win 7. I'd like for the unit to host my files, play and convert videos, play internet radio, Watch and record tv, some like gaming(more emulators than pc gaming), and downloading.

I'm also gonna add HVR-850 and DCR-2650 tuners.

I also have at my disposal a 1gb WD green drive in an external exclosure and a Seagate 2gb ext drive.

The motherboard has two sata ports available and I was thinking about replacing my PATA drives with SATA ones or add some smaller hard drivers I have laying around(80gb,160gb)

Although my cablecard pairing experiences are a pain in the rear, my cable seems to be copy freely.

Just looking for some setup and running suggestions. This unit will stay a work in progress. I as I upgrade my stronger desktops their parts will be handed down to the hybrid...
