Suggestions for free dvd rip/burning software?

Getting ready to digitize my DVD's, any suggestions as to a good free ripping software? I'd also like the ability to re burn the files to be playable in a DVD in the future.

You can use the trial version of AnyDVD for 15 or 30 days and it is fully functional during that period.

DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, and Handbrake.

DVD only? DVD Shrink still works on most DVDs, DVD Fab has a free DVD Decrypter that works on most of the rest. The free DVD Fab lags the paid version by a couple weeks when it comes to updates, so if you have a new DVD it won't do today it will in a couple weeks. Rip to Folders or ISO and use ImgBurn to put them back on blank DVDs.

Are there any new releases on dvd now? Or do the just come as extras in a Blu-ray combo pack? I honestly don't know as I haven't been in the market for a dvd in quite some time.
