Is the Vizio M3D651SV too big for me??

I have the 65in Vizio 651SV. I sit about 10-12 feet from the sceen. That's seems good to me. 7 feet might be getting on the close side. Though I'm no expert. there are some calculators on line that can give you some recommendations as well. there is also an official thread for the 651, you might post there and see if any of the current owners sit that close.

And yes, I'm pretty happy with it. I thought it looked pretty good out of the box, but I still couldn't help but do some tweaking. The biggest issue I've read about seems to be the screen reflections. It is a pretty reflective screen and depending on your room layout this might give you some trouble. CNET posted a review, but I thought it was better than what I read in the review. Another CON is it's pretty heavy.

As far as 3D, The only 3D I've seen on it are some streaming demo clips from Hulu+. One was an animated clip that looked pretty good. The other was a main stream movie clip. I thought the 3D looked good as far as being 3D, but I'm not sure I'm really a 3D fan. These were only like 3 min clips. I don't have any source for 3D content otherwise.

The viewing angle seems ok to me. But keep in mind how far I am from the screen. My wife noticed that the 3D effect did vary based on the angle though. (and also closer gave a more '3D' look ).

You may be able to see one of these at Best Buy now. I think I saw they were carrying them now.
