2.35 Diy Screen build?

So I am sure I have already seen it, but for the life of me I can't find any 2.35 diy screen builds. Does anyone have experience with this or is there a place anyone knows of that provides this info. I'm looking to look at other peoples builds to gather ideas.

I am pondering building a Wilsonart DW 2.35 screen.

2.35 is not different than any other DIY screen except the dimensions you choose.

What are you wondering about?

I figured its the same as building a 16.9. I don't know if its this flu that I am barely getting over, but I am having a brainfreeze. I am wondering about the build list specifically and dimensions. Wondering about a 110" 2.35 Screen.Either AT or just normal. Like, what measurements would I have the hardware store cut the wood pieces and such.

Play around with:
http://www.silisoftware.com/tools/screen.php to sort out what size you can use.

Maybe wait until your head is clear and just do a little math to sort our your sizes. Drawing it out it is pretty easy.

What type of screen are you going to build?

Hello Ray,

Actually there have been quite a few such projects, built around a variety of substrates. However often the Threads are not labeled as such, or the Member posts up his intent on someone else's non-related Thread.

Here's one:

Well let's get you started. Usually, Brain Freeze results from reading too much information and widely variable suggestions, and then becoming wholly confused as to what direction to take.

Here's a Cup of Hot Cocoa to sip on instead:

  • What Projector are you planning on? (...also knowing your budget for such helps...)
  • Describe your room in detail. Dimensions. Seating Configuration. Lighting (ambient and artificial) Color Scheme.
  • PJ Throw Distance limitations
  • Choice in Speakers...pertaining to the need (or not) of considering a Acoustically Transparent Screen

That's how we help people get past all the gobblty gook. Once you post up the required information, directing your course of action becomes very much easier and narrows down your choices to the most viable ones for your given situation.

Ray....no word for over 2 weeks.

Come back....and get to making a 2.35:1 screen like this one.
