Thank you for sharing what you have also noticed. The thing is, the day before the update to 1.06 (from 1.04), I was adjusting the sharpness (in multiple picture settings including "standard", "vivid", "Computer", and others while watching and pausing the 3D Blu-ray of Tangled. Then the update came and it was grey the next day. I am actually glad I had cranked up the sharpness in a couple of the modes before the firmware update... I got them where I wanted them the day before, but would be quite upset now if I had not. I just want to be able to adjust them further in other picture modes if I decide to.
I have to say, that at what the default is, it's just fine. In fact-all the "default" settings on 3D work very well.
so, 32 it is.
On another note, I had an epiphany about how large a screen you should get. My 60" has roughly 1560 sq inches, and I sit roughly 130 inches away-which is a ratio of around 11.7.
When you go to the theater-you can see just how large the screen is, relative to your sitting position. Many times, you will find yourself moving your eye's, and head across the screen to see all the action.
The ratio in the theater is greater than 300!!!
So, sitting 11 feet away from a 60" works just fine. You don't have to move your head to see all the action, but you do have to move your eye's-this contributes to the "immersion" of the 3D action, and IMHO works out very well.
So-get the biggest screen you can afford.....go big or go home
