Yes. Settings for the native apps can be adjusted while using one of the apps. Picture settings for streaming photos can be adjusted while viewing the full screen app menu.
2. When the color settings are adjusted, do they get customized specifically for that picture mode or do they change for all the picture modes? For eg, can I have a different color setting for each picture mode.
Each picture mode has it's own settings for each input (HDMI x 4, comp, cable), so for example "Calibrated" can look different on each input if you want.
3. Powering off the TV (unplugging it) has resulted in resetting of color/picture settings to default, is this normal?
This is probably normal.

I have the 70" also and when I turned on today it said I got the update. But no full app drawer and alot of icons are missing and majority of them don't work (states I need to connect to the Internet) which I am. Tried hardwired and wifi neither works. Any ideas guys?
I had this same problem with the apps saying "not connected to the internet' even though Netflix and YouTube worked fine. The fix (via the Vizio rep) was to do a Factory reset, then set up the network manually. When you get to DNS settings, use the Google Public DNS settings
(22.214.171.124 and 126.96.36.199). That should do it.
About the full app drawer, you may need to wait a bit for it to load the first time.
