Dude, seriously, stop posting the same pictures of your TV over and over, it's getting annoying.

Does have any tests of the motion blur on this TV?

Something like this?

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/content/dell_u2312hm.htm#gaming

Tempted by the 50" model, but my current 32" E3D model has horrible inverse ghosting on it and ruins the TV for me..

I own the 50" and have watched dozens of hours of sports as well as played numerous PS3 and PC games on it and have not had a single issue with input lag or motion blur. The set handles fast motion stuff really well.

bought myself an M601D-A3 through Costco a few weeks ago and finally got things hooked up a week ago....really enjoying watching all the HD content and playing games with my xbox360 via an HDMI cable.  when i purchased the TV, I went ahead and bought a S4251W-B4 Vizio Soundbar to go with it and I can't say enough about both of these purchases.  its really nice using 2 vizio products together because they make them work together seamlessly....i only use 1 remote for everything.

I did have issues getting the color settings to feel "right" but I did some research and came across this thread(namely the post regarding Calibration Settings found here: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1452199/official-vizio-m-series-razor-mxx1i-thread/2400#post_23509574) and found out that my 60inch model requires different settings than the ones posted on CNET, etc because of differences between the various sizes in the M-Series.  Once I got things dialed in and adjusted properly for my setting I'm really really impressed with this TV.  FWIW, I used Ursa99's older settings with great results as they looked better with my backlight/brightness/contrast settings.

Haven't used the 3D much yet but that was not the reason I purchased this model it was really just the icing on the cake after I did my research and decided to go with the M-Series based on the amazing value and the ability to use his for video gaming(even if the 60" is a little big lol).

I looked towards Vizio after being VERY impressed by their Thin & Light Ultrabook which I've used HEAVILY for 13 months now with not a single complaint or issue....VIZIO makes high quality, high-end products but for middle of the pack prices which equals an amazing value for customers.

Did I get a bum M501d-A2R???

No mater what I do with picture settings I still have this nasty set of clouding. Even eh hem, physically massaging the screen does no good. Obviously it's most noticeable during dark scenes, but even in regular scenes there is a "chalkiness" in the corners mad.gif

I guess I should start initiating the return to Amazon.... Le Sigh.

Oof, yeah that bleed is pretty bad. I'd definitely try and get a replacement.
It still amazed at the side viewing angles of the vizio. It's still brighter than any other led I've seen so far at hard angles. Below are some Samsung and Panasonic LEDs compared to the vizio

Isn't the Vizio an IPS panel? Typically those have wider viewing angles at the expense of black levels.

I don't think the 60" is an IPS.

Actually, I was just asking their support chat this same question today.  According to them, it IS in fact an IPS panel.  Also, as far as the update to the remote wifi goes "they are working on it but dont have a release date."

55 inch is currently $998 for Amazon Prime.

Got my Avatar 3D Blu-ray from Amazon today. It has a cool holographic cover that’s hard to photograph, here are left and right views under ambient light. I looked at the first part of each chapter to get an idea of how it looks, pretty impressive. Here’s a technical review:

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/7567/avatar3d_worldwide.html

From the review:

“The 3D experience offered on this disc is still a fantastic, immersive one. It features an amazing, borderline mind numbing amount of 3D content, with very few scenes showing no added dimensionality to them. In this regard, it is easily the demo disc for the format.”

“If you want to show off your 3DTV, 'Avatar' is one of the best discs to do it with. Heck, it's the disc newcomers to the format want most for a reason, as the film is synonymous with the effect.”

I feel for you, as I was in the same situation. Went with the m65 and used the extra dough for a new soundbar, harmony remote, and a squaretrade warranty. Waiting on the PS4 to complete this setup. Not disappointed at all. If you can spring for the m70 without a budget in mind, then get it. It's all about your viewing distance really. At about 10ft the m65 is just fine. Anything further than that, then the m70 is your answer.

Yeah, I sit at almost exactly 10 feet back from the screen also.

Pretty much my ONLY problem (aside from kinda wanting the 70"), is the light-bleed in the bottom-left corner. It's not big, but it's fairly bright and anytime that part of the screen is black it's very noticeable. (I've swapped TVs once and both had the exact same problem)

I have no idea. I didn't post any link, and it appears "Netflix" got hotlinked in your post also. Definitely not cool.

I see what you mean.  Looks like the site is scanning keywords and creating links based on those words.  The links are redirecting to some ebay page where someone is selling something.  Looks like it's time for the AVS webmaster to take a look.  Maybe AVS got hacked.  Sorry for the accusation!!

No worries. Thanks for pointing it out.

I also have the exact issue. It was really noticeable at first and I tried the rubbing technique to no avail. Then I realized that the back panel has a little leeway along the edges, so I started to press the back panel in towards the screen. It actually remedied most of the light bleed in the area, however I still notice it because I know it's there. This has never been mentioned in this thread, would like to know if it's a problem with the m65 or the m-series in general. I think it may have something to do with the power button and ir receiver placed in that particular area that causes this. Overall, my set is damn near perfect in my eyes and that's all that matters. By the way, what settings are you using?
Have you guys tried turning off the power indicator light? I did notice some weird added bleed with it on, but turning it off removed any bleed from the bottom left.

I have the m601 and have zero bleed at all.. At night with all the lights off in the house and it goes to a black screen, I can't even tell the TV is on... Maybe I got lucky? I'm using ursas settings and love it so far..

Is there any pics other than the one posted above to the bleeding you guys are getting? Also is there something I can download to run the set through a few tests? White screen, black screen, pixel test etc?

Are you a spambot, or do you just find it a need to post this on every page... We all have seen your setup, are well aware you like star wars, and have seen r2d2, floating around..... Stop.....

Yes. I keep mine off. I like to keep most of my power indicators off as they seem to distract from the viewing experience from time to time.
