At first I used the Calibrated Dark mode, different modes will take different settings, but the biggest thing I noticed was that is Game mode there was much less flashlight affect. Almost none as a matter of fact, yet in calibrated dark mode with everything else set up to the same specs the backlight had the effect of it being turned up some 20 clicks higher. In calibrated dark mose I had to turn the backlight down to about 18 to get it to stop showing on a black screen.
I thought I was done with picture settings starting with calibrated dark mode, but this got my attention. I’ll try game mode with my current settings and Ursa’s RGB numbers and re-adjust brightness and contrast if necessary with DVE HD Basics. Can anyone give a short summary of the differences between game mode and the other modes? I recall people saying there was a difference in how smooth motion behaved, are there other differences?
