Yes i may get a cam in the future so as in the title is there a cam that can match the colors of dslrs like canons,i used to use a 550D/T2i equivalent and have to honestly say no cam i have owned can match the lovely color it produced, neither have have i seen online footage from camcorders that dont have the typical video look,is there anyone who uses a Canon dslr and a camcorder whos footage matches,as for the dreaded M & A my current GH2 is worse than the Canon i had.

One thing annoys is that the cheaper models have longer zooms, the specs quoted for the HF R42, R40 and R400 On the eve of CES, longtime optics heavyweight Canon announced four new camcorders for its VIXIA product line. The HF R42, R40 and R400 all feature a 53x advanced zoom, a DIGIC DV IV image processor and a 3.28-megapixel full HD CMOS image sensor. In addition, these movie-makers capture HD MP4s at up to 35Mbps and AVCHD progressive 60p recordings that tops out at 28Mbps are they the same on the HF G20.

Maybe the new Canon HF G20 or older HF G10 would produce colors similar to the T2i: http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content/Canon-Vixia-G20-First-Impressions-Review.htm
I personally don't think their lack of 1080p capability is a deal breaker because the 1080i footage from my Olympus OMD is actually moderately sharper and more detailed than the 1080p footage of my Panasonic LX7.

Yes seriously thinking of the Canons, they do have 1080P but not 50P though.

The EOS-1D C and C500 do 1080p60 or 50p.
