I would like to have an AVR and start sharing experience with you, but I have no such experience in this area and welling to get help from expert people in this forum.
Mostly, I will use my AVR to watch movies “BluRay, HD family recording parties and such, listen to music “as they call it HD Audio, Internet streaming and such”, and play games from my PC, I will connect other devices to AVR like free satellite channel and paid channels “OSN”. My TV is Sony EX500 46.
Polk Audio speakers are the most choice available to me, not sure of which but RATI models for sure, with 5.1.

well Pioneer 1122 suit me or should i consider something else.

Thanks for you all. smile.gif

Yes it does. You can get 1122 at a fair good price. Its a very good receiver. I own polk rtia7 speakers and i use a pioneer 1222 and the audio is really awesome; much better than my denon 3311. Check model 1222 and compare prices. In you can afford the 1222 then go for it. If not then stick with 1122. In terms of feauters the 1122 and 1222 are the same; just that 1222 use class D3 amps. Do not get the 1022 because the 1022 does not has advanced mcacc. Mcacc is the auto calibration system. 1022 has plain mcacc while 1122, 1222 has advanced mcacc.

Hi Javygonx

I appreciate your help, yes i can provide 1222 and was thinking about same Polk Audio RTIA7. seems like your system and mine will be just alike.

But i have been told that Denon is warmer than Pioneer, where Pioneer has a light or clinical sound, have any idea of this?

Thanks alot.

Sure, the Pioneer is more natural; its something in between warmer and natural"; hard to explain. Not like onkyos in which they are harsch. I own Yamahas too. From all four (onkyo, denon, yamaha, pioneer) my vote goes for Pioneer then Denon.

Im still performing test with all my polks speakers. I own RtiA7, Rti4, Monitor 40, and CS2. I made a comparisson as for surrounds ( not back surrrounds) between Rti4 and monitor 40. And using the monitor 40 as surrounds matches pretty well. I can bet it matches better than the Rti4.

My idea was to do a 6.2 system and use a center channel as back surround. I use my cs2 as back surround during my test and was great, then I decided to use the monitor 40 and was great too. I was thinking in spending money for another center but after performing this test i dont need to. So I can setup in the future a 7.2 by using my rti4 as back surrounds.

If you still does not have surrounds then get the monitor 40s with confidence or any Rti bookshelf line. Newegg puts a pair of monitor 40 and great price just wait for the special.Even that is not the same family as tne Rti line. As for center channel I really suggest tne CSi5 or CSiA6 rather than the CS2 or CS20
