2012 smart pansonic (st50s) - where is nhl app?

Hi -

Ive read everywhere that 2012 panny st50s have the nhl app, but it is not on my set, nor can it be dloaded.....anyone know whats going on here? hockey starts on saturday!! i only have the 3 sports apps: fox sports, mlb and soccer. Any help would be much appreciated. I have a 55st50 sept 2012 build if that matters........

I can't remember ever seeing anything about an NHL app on the Panasonics at all, much less "everywhere". Where have you seen an NHL app listed?

I think the only sports apps are just the three that you listed above.

Wow, maybe they originally planned to offer it, then ended up not doing so. Or maybe they had it, then pulled it when the lockout started. There was no NHL app in my GT50 when i bought it on July 4th - when did the NHL lockout begin?

Meh, well it's not the first time something in their official press release didn't come to bear.

thx for the replies Randy - I appreciate it. I called Panny yesterday and they just said it wasnt for 'my tv'. i showed him the official link and he had no answer and has passed it up the next level. Im supposed to hear back in 2 or 3 days.....I'm disappointed as this is one of the reasons i considered this tv (smart viera) for the mlb and nhl apps.

Just for the record, anyone you contact through Panasonic's customer service phone numbers have no idea whatsoever about their TVs and often just make stuff up because they don't know the answers. They are seriously useless, other than to arrange to have a defective TV repaired. I've called numerous times, sometimes asking 3 different CSRs the same exact question and i got 3 different answers - all of which were wrong. Astounding that such a great company would have such morons answering customer concerns on the phone.
