Front and center Speaker selection

Hello ,
I'm new to this group all the specs and tech talk has my head spinning. I just want to bet the best Bang for my buck.

I'm running a Yamaha RX-V757, Bose Acoustimass 10 surround box set. I'm using the bose cubes for surround and looking to up grade my front and center speakers.

I'm on a $1500 budget. :
JBL 590's
MMG's
Vega
Polk

A side note . My DVD player is on the fritz. With my receiver being 7.1 . Should I look for a new one that has 7.1 output to match or does the receiver take care of that. The cd/dvd player on the fritz is a Pioneer dv-46av. My tv is a 55" Led HD with 240 hz refresh ratio.

Thank You
John

You'll get more for your money buying JBL Studio L series. YOU can get a pair of L890 and LC2 center on Amazon for less than your $1500 budget.

Front and center I'm going with Emp 55 ti's and the 56 center.
I'm going with 7.1 format.
They sell matching surrounds which will work for me with wall mounting. Do I go with the Emps for surround ?
The back speakers I'd prefer to ceiling mount them.
I currently lave cubes ceiling mounted surrounds and rears.
