Video processor that do UHD / 4K

is there a video processor that has a 4k output yet? I am looking for an external processor like a dvdo or a lumagen

not yet, at least not in the "consumer" market. I think the current Oppo generation of BD players will upscale to 4K if you feed a signal through the HDMI input those machines provide. Uses the Marvell QDEO for upscaling. Next up - later this year - will be a new Lumagen unit with 4K upscaling. Some new AVRs also offer 4K upscaling.

If I'm not mistaken, OPPO players use the Sigma chip for scaling. The QDEO chip is only used for picture enhancements, such as DNR, sharpening, color adjustment, etc.

I think the Mediathek is used for upscaling to 1080p and if 4K is requested, then the QDEO takes over.
