i used the 4 inch guys that came from acrytech

you can get a 9 in one as well

prob is you cant dnk the 9 in one in the bucket fo duratex it too big

also i did 2 pretty thick coats, IIRC carp you only did 1 that may play into it

not much to update, had to order some things from PE to finish up the Fusion 8s - hopefully ill get to them this weekend. just gotta do Xovers and paint

started the TV stand replacement. - check out this sweet sketchup i made - still need to figure out rear stands

i needed some more barrier terminals for the xovers and some binding posts as i didnt order any from you because im dumb

not sure if everyone uses barrier terminals, i like them, adding them to the kits might work as an option, guess it depends on the person, i use the larger ones as i dont like using the small spades

I wrote a cheque biggrin.gif

i designed it but had a contractor friend put it together for me. its birch ply (i think), with i assume pine face board. He’s bringing it over today unfinished. I’ll finish it with some sort of gel stain and some semi-gloss ploy

ill get some high quality pics tonight. thats the one he sent me yesterday

Thanks, im happy with how it came out, cant wait to get it finished and hauled up stairs

For those curious about how it was made, its simply 3/4" birch ply that is nailed and glued , 1x2 pine face board on the front
supports are 2x8s, top and bot are nailed/glued in and the middle one is simply glued in there

pretty much built exactly like my sketch a few posts up

finial dimensions are 30H x 25D x 60L - which should be large enough to hold all my HT Junk

put a 2nd coat of stain on the outside of it today as well as the top face board as it was a little lite. looks much richer now. Will start the poly process tomorrow

also strated the grills for the subs and the xovers for the fusions 8s



the camera in my phone is such a POS

got less done yesterday because the power went out randomly (entire town) was out for hours

so i finished gluing the frames for the grills on the subs by candle light (oil lamp)

i may have gone insane

I didn't see if you mentioned it or not, but where/how are you planning on using the Fusion 8's?

 

Now that I finished my Tempests I am thinking about my surrounds and if I went wave guide I think these would fit on my columns.

 

Curious to hear your impressions and how they might integrate with the tempests.

I'm building the Fusion 8s for my Dad for a 2.1 system for him (havent decided on what to do for a sub yet) so i wont be integrating them into the system with the Tempests and Fusion 10s

Great looking DIY wood TV stand you have made! Plenty open, no heat venting issues there.
I've seen the thd rod flexi stands, like what you did better.

About 1 month ago I made a DIY wood storage shelf for below my dartboard, that needed to be able to handle people sitting on it and also kids climbing on it to remove their darts.
6ft long, 15in deep by 24in high. Ready to play darts, and can catch those stray darts safely also with the cork.

I don't think that is a good layout for the inductors. I would try to lay down the one in the middle and rotate the inductor on the far right to 90 degrees of that inductor laying down.
