new 55-60 LED/LCD recommendation

Hi guys,

I am looking to get a 55 or 60" LED TV but am open to plasma looking to spend 1500-2000 in the next month or 2.
viewing distance is probably 10-12 ft.

i thinking Samsung or Sony haven't payed attention to the tv market in sometime.

any recommendation are greatly appropriated.

LG 60LM7200 is an awesome pick in that price range..

Best Buy and Costco (assuming others) have the 60ES7100 Samsung on sale for $1800 and $1750 respectively. Think this is Samsung clearing them out for the new models. This would be an alternative in the 60" size that is similar. I have the LG 60LM7200 and love it but depending on where you live they are getting hard to come by.

Plenty more options in the 55" range.

The bigger question is what are you doing with it? Movies? Television? Gaming? 3D or no 3D?

mostly will be watching Movies and Television, not a big fan of 3D i have a separate setup in my office for gaming.

Sony KDL-55HX850 if you can still get one. Great picture quality, but sadly not anymore produced as it Looks.

I would probably pop for something like a Panasonic P60GT50 plasma. I've seen them for around $1700 of late. Great picture. You did say you would consider plasma.
