What is the proper ratio of how much your items should cost? Please correct me if this is inaccurate but I had head that one should spend at least as much on sub woofers as the cost of the front left and right speakers, and the amp should be somewhere around 25% of what you spent on the sum total of all the speakers in the system. Your display should be as much as the entire system. I read it in here somewhere and thought it was an interesting tidbit but cant find where i read it. anyone heard of this ratio or offer counter arguments to a balanced home theater budget system?

. No really great suggestions guys, they all seem so common sense, but this was just to ball park. obviously there are diminishing returns in terms of very high end speaker vs your display cost, and room size needing significantly more bass budget ect. but all in all it seems its a pretty good rule of thumb.
