Threw WD TV Live across room, need advice on new device

I have a windows 8 PC and got tired of the WD TV live box crapping out.

I need advice on what to buy. The key thing I look for is streaming from my pc to a video device on my TV. All I need is HDMI and optical out. I stream both 1080p and 720p. Any ideas on what to look for? The popcorn doesn't have wireless so that is a none starter.

I too had the wd, but it was pretty horrible so I built my own htpc. I installed Windows 8, and use the xbmc to access my video, music and Internet streams.

Depending on your skill level, this might be an option.
