Hooking up a ps3 to a Dell W4200HD Tv.

How do i hook up my ps3 to my dell W4200hd TV? When i plug it in it does nothing. I plug in my xbox 360 the same exact way and it works and if i hook up my ps3 to a different tv it works also. What should I do? I have tried using a HDMI cord already also.
