Sorry Joe...but that doesn't work....PayPal is not listed on the pull down as a credit card ...I did it both ways ACCOUNT INFORMATION and thru Transaction Management

I did the same steps but it gives me an error.

Has anyone else tried this... I am leery about joining PlayStation®Plus. I have also read horror stories on Amazom about purchasing PSN Cards on Amazon. Codes not recognized and long waiting times (four hours or more) to get codes.

Be leery if you don't play a lot. I have it and download all the free games that look good. But I never play them, so not much value. If you only play a few hours a week, PS Plus is not for you.

Now, I used to play a bit more. But now we're back to frame rate issues, tearing issues, pop in, etc. It's obvious that the PS3 is well past its expiration date. When PS4 launches, PS Plus will become relevant again. Until then, I say save your fifty bucks.

Silly me,I just got a new PS3 in December... I was ready to connect the Netflix on the PS3 when I found out I needed to spend $50.00 a year just to connect it... It is only about $4.00 a month but I am cheap. I already have an Original Roku Streaming unit. No cost other than original purchase price to use it... Other than my $8.56 Netflix Streaming fee a month...

Netflix won't let you use your existing account on a PS3? I didn't know Netflix tied your account to one machine. Connecting your PS3 online costs nothing unless you decide to buy another subscription to something.

I think PS+ is good for a player that plays a couple hours a week. For the price of one game you get a year's worth of a variety of games. If you only play a couple of hours a week its hard to justify buying more than 3 or 4 full games a year. But for the cost of just one of those games you get new stuff every week. The one hour trials are great for this also. Maybe an hour was all you were ever going to play of Need For Speed anyway!

From Radio's post above it does sound like he already has a Netflix account.

Radio you do not need to buy a PS+ subscription for Netflix. What you do need is a Playstation account (which is free). Create your free Playstation ID and then open up Netflix on your PS3. There you will be able to enter your Netflix username and password. I believe Netflix allows you to have accounts set up on 6 devices. Your new PS3 would now be one of them.

RadioWonder might be confusing Plus with Xbox's policy which requires the Live membership to use the Netflix app. There must be another reason it didn't launch for you on the PS3. I'm able to stream on a Roku, PS3, Kindle Fire, and PC no problem and paying no extra fees to anyone.

I am so sorry,I got PSN mixed up with PS+...I do have a PSN account... My PS3 is now streaming Netflix... Yes,I do have a Netflix account. I stream Netflix with my Roku player also... I talked to a Netflix tech person a few days ago and she said I could have 2 streaming players on my account free.
Sorry I have not been back,I have been watching Mass Effect video Walkthroughs... Thanks for getting me straightened out...

I have a single account for netflix on my ipad, iphone, ps3, samsung Galaxy tab II and my Samsung smart TV. All on the same account . Shhh don't tell everyone lol.

Not to turn this into a Netflix streaming thread, but hopefully to get us back on track, here's what Netflix's ToS state:

The official statement is that you can have six activated devices (for me: 2x 360, PS3, 2x iPad, iPhone). PCs don't count and activating a new device knocks the oldest device off the activation list. Haven't used your Roku in six months, but got a new iPad, TV, phone, and Wii U? The Roku will need activating when you come back to it.

You also get two simultaneous streams with the standard $8 streaming-only service. In practice this can be three or four streams at once, but they will lock it down to two if they find you abusing it. They don't want multiple households sharing a single account, but they also don't want to punish reasonable watching within a household. If you also subscribe to discs, then you get as many simultaneous streams as discs. 4-Disc plan? 4 streams.
