Looking for a new gaming 3D LED Display for a viewing distance of 10ft, but there is such a huge variation depending on the website.

their calculator only goes up 8.5 ft and suggested size is 65"

@10ft , recommended size is 42"

@10ft , recommended size is 48"

@10ft , recommended size is 64"

So what do you use ?

As you can tell from those results, there really isn't any "perfect" distance. It's all very subjective, like so much in this industry. The only things you really need to think about it is making the screen take up as much of your viewing angle as possible without being able to see individual pixels (or "scanlines" in the case of passive displays).
