I have read the consumer reports numbers, but was curious to do my own informal poll. I currently own a Samsung that has been repaired once and now out of warranty needs to be repaired again (though I won't do it). If your plasma is defective and out of warranty please check needed to be repaired even if you have NO intention of repairing it. If own multiple plasmas you can check multiple boxes. I am curious about how Plasmas have held up in general and which brand seems to be less prone to repair.

I had my Samsung serviced twice under warranty, but it turns out that like a lot of new plasma owners, I simply failed to understand how plasmas work and what I should expect. Nothing was wrong with my set, it turns out

Have a repair tech coming on Wednesday to see if he can quiet down the buzz on my 55" Panny UT50. Just got it a couple weeks ago and it's pretty loud on bright scenes. It has an April build date, so likely doesn't have the newer screws with lock washers. So I'm hoping it's a simple fix of replacing/tightening screws like some others have posted.
