CSW T300 with 2 bad amps

Hi,
I have a pair or CSW T300 speaker and they both have bad amp. I have to have one of the amps reworked by CSW a couple of years ago for $75. I don't want to have to go through this all over again so does anyone know what the known failure or have a schematic for these amps? Or has anyone tried to bypass the internal amps and use an external amp?

The amplifier powers the built-in subwoofer on those??

If that is the case, you could just completely disconnect the subwoofer section and get a separate powered subwoofer.

Just connect the full-range input terminals of the speaker to your amplifier / receiver, but disconnect the input to the subwoofer section somewhere.

Actually, just not connecting the power cord may disable the subwoofer section and that is all you will have to do.

A good external powered subwoofer will almost certainly provide better low bass, so it is an improvement that is a good idea anyway.

I suggest that you consider the NHT B12D subwoofer (which I use), or possibly one of the Rythmic 12-inch subs.
