Meh, the LG 7600 @ $1400 is a better deal than the Samsung 7100 @ $1500? I think active 3D and Samsung Smart hub is worth an extra $100. I also personally prefer Samsungs PQ and Allshare Play software over LG's. But that's personal preference.

Not sure about the $1500 price. The 7100 is $1899 at Best Buy and Amazon. I actually like the Passive 3D. Way cheaper glasses, the LG came with 6 pairs(!). But I'm not into 3D so haven't looked into it too much. I'm also not too much into the app features, have a ROKU, TIVO, and the apps in the LG. But to each their own.

Yeah, 7600 @ $1400 is a better deal than the 7100 @ $1900, definitely. The glasses price doesn't bother me, I'm really the only one who watched 3D n my house so I have my pair and an extra. I like 3D more than I thought I would, TBH. I'm currently without a 3D tv and I miss it. Lol

55ES7100 now back down to $1499 great price as of Sunday 2-17. Looks like clearance time has begun. And the 46" version is still $1299 .
Dang, but the 60 inch is still priced at $2499.
Went ahead with the 55 inch. If the 60's price drops, I guess i'll exchange. I don't think their is a big enough difference between 55 and 60 inches to disappoint....and I saved some cash.
Just picked up the 7100 55" thru Amazon (no tax) and free white glove delivery. Amazon is also running promo right now offering free Samsung Galaxy 2 Tab w/ select tvs. Per the website, needed to spend the extra $1,000 for the 60" - then they throw in the tablet. However, I came acorss a few websites offering same tablet w/ 55" - I called Amazon cust service, and they threw in tablet for free!

TV gets delivered Saturday, planning on wall mount and hooking up Samsung soundbar & wireless woofer that I picked up for $140 (refurb)
Can you post the links to the websites for the free tab so I can get the same deal smile.gif?

Thanks
BS I call them and they said they cannot do it
post #40 of 64
The 55" 7100 is not part of the free tablet promotion. Only the 60", along with the 7500 and the 8000. Although some retailers may have mistakenly honored it for some people..

Amazon also just matched the Tiger Direct price of $1349. Just got refund of $150 - in addition to free tablet with the purchase of the 55". Pretty happy with the deal.

UN60ES7100 just dropped to $1999 on Amazon. That's $500 lower than I've seen anywhere in several weeks.
My local BB is price matching it (YMMV). I called and its in writing (email) and I'm going to pick mine up tomorrow when I can borrow my brother's vehicle to get it home.

why not get from Amazon? Free Samsung tablet, free white glove delivery, and possibly no sales tax depending on your state?

Hopefully over the next few weeks it'll drop back to $1799 like it was before the Super Bowl, otherwise i'll probably stick with the 55 for $1499. Can't pick it up for another week as i'm out-of-state, so the 30 day exchange/price match won't take effect until then as I was told.

I'm not sure how Tiger Direct was able to offer this price of $1349 when this model is supposedly UPP price protected. But good deal nevertheless. The big box stores still have it for $1499.
Although since it is currently clearance time for the 2012 models, perhaps Samsung is now allowing more flexibility in the UPP pricing margins. As Amazon now appears to be offering some better deals also.

Amazon HAD the 55" 7500 for $1499. Hopefully somebody got Best Buy to honor price match....

not sure - but Amazon matched. After making purchase last Tues for $1497, I set up price tracker at camelcamelcamel.com. Received e-mail Sunday that price dropped to $1349 on Amazon site, but sold thru Tiger Direct. So $1349 no tax plus free tablet.

Picked up a un55es7100 from BB at 1350.00 out the door using the tiger direct pm. The picture looks amazing out of the box. Had to return a couple of Lg lm7600 panels due to light bleed issues.

Pretty happy snagging that un55es7500 for $1500 off Amazon on Wednesday with a free tablet I've already sold for $170 after fees. I went Amazon instead of best buy in case it dropped again (14 day price guarantee), although I now realize I wouldn't be able to use that after tomorrow since the tablet deal will be over. Oh well, I'm lazy and like the delivery. :-)

I'm wondering if it will drop again once the tablet deal is over. Keep an eye out...

The Samsung 55" 7500 will begin to sell at $1650 to $1799.00 Delivered very shortly by some major known Internet companies. I was told the Sales would start March 2nd which is today. So I would watch for a Major price move in the next week.
How do I know ? I was purchasing a Yamaha YSP-4300 sound bar from one of these companies last week and I mentioned that I was interested in this Display. He said that they would be putting in on Sale at $1799.00 Delivered around this time. I have purchased a ton of stuff from this company and this paticular Salesman.
Maybe or Maybe Not. But it is worth a watch.

Lucky. I price matched the 55 inch 7500 at Best Buy from Amazon Wednesday night. I couldn't get to the store in time to pick it up, but the corporate rep with BB told me the price match was approved and the following day i'd be able to walk into the store and pick up my TV no hassle. The next day the store wouldn't give me the TV at that price because they said it wasn't the same as the night before, even though I had been guaranteed that price when I came in the next day. I spent hours on the phone with BB, and over an hour in the store hearing Best Buy's excuses for not wanting to honor the price simply because it was too great of a deal. The rep over the phone had copied and saved the screen shot that proved the price match Wednesday night, but the store said they needed the proof at the time I actually walked out of the store with the TV, otherwise Samsung would declare war on Best Buy and destroy all humanity in the process....or at least that's how the BB clerk made it sound. What an incredibly ridiculous experience...and this is just one reason they are losing market share as fast as they are. Have corporate approve and guarantee you a price match that was documented and verified by reps and in-store clerks the following day, but simply because the store doesn't want to let you have the TV for such a price they find any excuse they can to not give you the deal you were explicitly guaranteed. B.S.

In other news, I see Amazon, or maybe TigerDirect, has the 55" ES8000 for just a hair over $1830 for anyone interested....
Best Buy is supposed to be more accomodating now with price matching in an effort to combat showrooming and to prevent losing business to online retailers. But sounds like it is still problematic in some stores. And it seems like Samsung may have finally relaxed their UPP price restrictions as clearance time has come for the 2012 models.
What makes you think Samsung is relaxing their UPP restrictions? The store only told me about the policy 47 times...

Because Amazon and Tiger Direct have been offering lower prices in the past few weeks on certain models that are lower than the standard brick and mortar price. The UPP pricing is supposed to be enforced across the board, but some of the online retailers are now dropping a bit from what Best Buy and HHG are still offering. Either these online vendors got a special waiver, or they are in violation.
I also see where Fry's instore is offering the 46ES6500 for $699, whereas other retailers are still advertising higher pricing. So it does appear as if UPP has been relaxed at certain retailers as the 2012 models go on clearance.

BuyDig.com had the 55ES8000 on sale for $1699.99 and Amazon price matched that for me yesterday. Today though BuyDig.com doesn't even have the 55ES8000 listed. Wonder why.

UN55ES8000 for $1530 is a pretty amazing deal after the $170 I got for the tablet on craigslist.
