Projector screen pairing

Wanted to get some advice on the best screen for a new Epson 6020. I can accommodate any throw distance and am leaning toward a 120-126 inch screen. Movies are the priority and light is completely controlled, but I want to be able to watch sports with some light on when friends are over. 3D will be fun to check out, but it's not something we'd watch often. Seating distance is basically within the width of the screen and within THX and SMPTE recommendations. All research points to Stewart screens but I'm aware that they also spend a lot on marketing wink.gif

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you can afford Stewart there is no reason to look at anything else.

For a light controlled room, what's a better idea -

White or Gray
0.8, 1.0 or higher gain?

Typically in a properly light controlled (Dark Ceiling, side walls and floor) room, a white neutral screen fabric with a utility gain of 1 is what you want. Higher gain screens are useful when you want a bigger screen than you projector can properly illuminate. With each type of fabric comes issues that become a compromise between the benefits and the drawbacks.
